– Create a Customer Avatar
Avatar story:
In defining and examining my segment for my
product/ service, I found that my segment is pretty diverse for the most part,
but I still found a way to make an avatar that I feel represents a majority/
good portion of my customer segment.
So, my customer avatar’s name is Jenny: Jenny
has just left college and is starting a brand-new job that she is extremely
excited for. She is a very organized and successful person, and is ready for
her new career. On the morning that Jenny is getting ready for her first day on
the job. Suddenly, a face of distraught appears on her face, and she becomes
frantic. Jenny is all ready, briefcase and everything, but is missing one
thing- her keys. Rushing around her house, looking under couches, beds, kitchen
cabinets, she can’t find them ANYWHERE. Jenny’s day went from being super
exciting, to purely stressful.
After reviewing my customer segment, I found
that Jenny is a pretty good representation of why my product/service can help
people in their everyday lives. I see multiple similarities between Jenny and
myself, but I’m sure a lot of people can relate to the experience that Jenny
went through above. Sometimes, we may be ready in just about every way, but
just lose our keys. This happens to everyone! I think the main similarity
between Jenny and the rest of my customer segment (including myself) is the
fact that no one is perfect. Everyone has moments where they just blank out and
lose things, things that are important. This creates stress, something that
everyone who loses their keys goes through. And Jenny is just one example of a
customer who loses their keys, this segment could cover nearly anyone who
drives.
Hey Drew, great job on your post. I really like the customer avatar that you created. You do a great job of giving "Jenny" an interesting backstory that most people can relate to. It makes it a lot easier to envision using your product when you can see someone who would be a typical user. As usual, you have excellent work.
ReplyDeleteHi Drew! Great avatar. It really defines your product. I think Jenny could be the face of what you are trying to accomplish and i thought the backstory was very creative. She will do a great job making sales.
